Width Restriction for the Gut Bridge in South Bristol

South Bristol ? Due to a bridge replacement project, the Gut Bridge in South Bristol will be restricted to one 10ft. lane from Tuesday, May 5th through Friday, May 29th.

There will be alternating one-way traffic with signals over the bridge.

This width restriction will mean limited access for larger vehicles traveling to and from Rutherford Island. This will be in effect 24 hours a day and is necessary to build a southeast retaining wall under the south approach roadway.

Paving to Begin on Route 163 in Mapleton

Presque Isle-Mapleton ? Crews will be paving on Route 163 in Mapleton beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The paving project begins on Route 163 (Mapleton Road) at 0.20 of a mile east of Dudley Road and extend easterly 6.57 miles to 0.94 of a mile east of the Mapleton-Presque Isle town line.

Motorists should expect slight delays traveling through the work zones that will be controlled by flaggers.

The project consists of removing pavement surface, placing new pavement as well as safety and drainage improvements.

Paving to Begin at the Freeport-Durham Town Line

Freeport-Durham ? Crews will be paving Route 125 at the Freeport-Durham town line beginning on Monday, May 4th.

Paving will begin on Route 125 at the Freeport-Durham town line and extend 2.78 miles to the Soper Road intersection.

The paving operation will take place Monday through Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Motorists should expect slight delays when traveling through the work zone that will be controlled by flaggers.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the first week of June, 2015.

Paving to Begin on Route 202 in Gray-New Gloucester

Gray-New Gloucester ? Crews will be paving on Route 202 starting at the Gray New-Gloucester town line beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The project will start at the Gray-New Gloucester town line and extend 6.43 miles. The paving will end at 0.18 of a mile before the New Gloucester-Auburn town line.

The paving operation will be performed Monday through Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Motorists should expect slight delays when traveling through the work zone that will be controlled by flaggers.

Paving to Begin on I-95 Southbound

Detroit ? Crews will be paving and performing safety improvements on I-95 southbound through the towns of Detroit, Palmyra, Newport and Pittsfield beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The project will begin on I-95 southbound from Exit 157 to Exit 150. The paving will continue on Route 11/100 from the Detroit town line to Route 2 in Newport, as well as the Exit 157 off-ramp in Newport and the I-95 southbound bridges between Palmyra and Pittsfield.

Paving to Begin in Monmouth-Winthrop-Wayne

Monmouth ? Crews will be paving Route 202 and Route 133 in the towns of Monmouth, Winthrop and Wayne beginning on Monday, May 4th.

The first paving project will start .08 of a mile easterly of the Leeds/Monmouth town line and extend 6.73 miles to 0.2 of a mile westerly of the intersection of Route 202, Annabessacook Road and Old Lewiston Road in Winthrop.

The second half of the project begins on the Route 202 ramps and extends northwesterly on Route 133 for 6.47 miles to 0.4 of a mile north of Old Winthrop Road.

Overnight Paving Along Route 1 in Woolwich

Woolwich ? Crews have started a paving project along Route 1 in Woolwich from the Bath Bridge over the Kennebec River to the railroad overpass near the Taste of Maine restaurant as well as along the Arrowsic Road to the Max Wilder Bridge.

All work will be done from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. No work will be performed from Friday at 6:00 a.m. until Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The project will be active until June 20th and then be suspended for the summer. A final layer of pavement will be applied in the fall, after the Labor Day holiday.

I-295 WRECKS BRUNSWICK

State Police say three cars and a tractor trailer have been involved a series of crashes on Interstate 295 in Brunswick a short time ago. One of the cars overturned.

Traffic southbound has been reduced to one lane, with traffic now backed up for over a mile.

The injuries involved are not life threatening , but traffic will be slowed in the southbound lane for most of the afternoon. Northbound traffic is not affected.

Paving Project to Begin in Smithfield-Norrwidgewok

Smithfield-Norridgewok ? Crews will be back this season paving, placing loam, installing curbing, paving sidewalks and grading driveways on Route 8 in Smithfield and Norridgewok beginning on Monday, May 11th.

The project will start at the intersection of Island Lane in Smithfield and extend 7.3 miles to Route 2 in Norridgewok. From Perkins Street, the project will begin at Route 8 and extend 0.53 of a mile to Route 2.

Paving to Begin in Smithfield

Smithfield ? Crews will be paving and installing new drainage as well as performing safety improvements in the towns of Smithfield, Farmington, New Sharon, Mercer and Norridgewock beginning on Monday, May 11th.

The project will start on Route 8 in Smithfield beginning 0.21 of a mile north of Rome Road and extend northerly for 1.79 miles to 1.18 miles north of Pine Tree Road.

On Route 2 the project begins 0.39 of a mile northeasterly of the Mercer-Norridgewock town line and extend 3.48 miles northeasterly.
