Traffic Sensor Repairs on I-95 in Hampden

Hampden ? On Monday, July 13th, crews will be restricting traffic to one lane southbound on I-95 at mile marker 175 in Hampden for traffic sensor repairs.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m., the southbound travel lane will be closed for approximately 1000ft. Once completed, crews will close the passing lane to perform the same project.

While weather dependent, all work is expected to be completed by 8:00 p.m.

Saint George Detour Due to Culvert Replacement

Saint George ? Beginning on Monday, August 3rd, crews will be replacing a culvert on Route 131 in Saint George necessitating a three-day detour of approximately five miles.

The project is located .20 of a mile south of the intersection of Route 131 and School Street. The detour will begin at the intersection of Route 131 and Walston Road. Traffic will turn on the Walston Road and follow the detour signs to the southeasterly intersection of the Walston Road and Route 131.

Overnight Paving Underway in Bangor

Bangor ? Crews have begun overnight paving at the intersection of Odlin Road and Hammond Street in Bangor.

The project begins on outer Hammond Street 0.41 of a mile east of Target Industrial Circle and extends easterly on Route 2 for 0.98 of a mile to 0.03 of a mile westerly of the intersection of Odlin Road and Hammond Street.

Traffic will be controlled by flaggers through the entire project area between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

This mill and fill operation includes removing the existing pavement then overlaying with new pavement.

Paving Begins on Route 26 in Gray

Gray ? Crews have started a paving project on Birchwood Lane on Route 26 at the Gray-New Gloucester town line.

This 5.1 mile mill and fill operation will be performed Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Motorists should expect slight delays.

It is anticipated all work will be completed by the first week of September, 2015.

All States Material Group of Auburn will perform this $1.6 million project.

**Correction** High Street in West Gardiner to Close for Culvert Replacement

Correction: Road will close at 9:00 a.m.

West Gardiner ? Beginning on Monday, August 10th at 9:00 a.m., crews will be closing High Street in West Gardiner at the intersection of the Spears Corner Road for a culvert replacement.

Motorists will follow the detour signs on Route 126 along the Hallowell and Litchfield Roads to Neck Road for approximately 18 miles.

It is anticipated High Street will reopen on Friday, August 14th.

McGee Construction of West Gardiner will perform this $200,000 project.

Overnight Paving to Begin in York

York ? Crews will begin a paving project on Route 1 in York beginning Sunday evening, August 9th.

The project begins at the Kittery/York town line and extends northerly on Route 1 for 2.58 miles to 0.21 of a mile south of the Maine Turnpike Spur.

Alternating one-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Overnight Paving to Begin in Kittery

Kittery ? Crews will begin a paving project on Route 236 in Kittery beginning on Sunday evening, August 9th.

The project begins at the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Whipple Road and continues northerly to the rotary at Route 1.

Alternating one-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect slight delays.

Work includes pavement removal, adjusting catch basins and manholes to grade, grinding joints in driveways and side roads, paving a new surface on the roadway as well driveways and side roads.

**CORRECTION** Winthrop Street in Hallowell to Close for Culvert Repair

CORRECTION: Detour begins on August 24th

Hallowell ? Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24th, Winthrop Street in Hallowell will be closed to traffic for a large culvert replacement project.

Motorists will follow the signs along the ten mile detour route to Whitten Road to Western Avenue then onto Granite Road.

It is anticipated all work will be completed and the road opened to traffic on Friday, August 28th.
