Windham Route 302 Reconstruction

North Windham Moves

The Maine Department of Transportation has partnered with the Town of Windham on a project to reconstruction part of Route 302 and create a business-friendly, village-like atmosphere in the northern part of the town. In 2023, this project received a $25-million RAISE Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to go toward the total project cost of approximately $31 million. Our work will reconstruct approximately 1.6 miles of Route 302 from River Road to White Bridges Road. It will also improve safety and efficiency on the roads while providing walkable back streets and a new multi-use pathway for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other active transportation users.
