Overview
Consistent with the stakeholder engagement requirements established in Public Laws 2021, chapter 387 and Resolves 2021, chapter 95, the Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) convened a group of qualified individuals to serve on a workgroup that advised the Office on regulatory issues, best practices in patient access and education, and opportunities to improve Maine’s medical cannabis program.
The workgroup met virtually five times in 2021. Through these meetings, participants provided input that informed potential legislative and rulemaking actions and helped inform recommendations aimed at streamlining the Office’s licensing and compliance processes for the medical program.
