The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for 79-year old Penelope Crabtree of Sebago. Crabtree was last seen Friday, July 15, 2022 at approximately 8:00 am, when she left her home on Bridgton Rd in Sebago to run errands in Norway. Her last known location was on Lake Rd in Norway. Crabtree, who suffers from dementia and vision problems is driving a white 2014 Nissan Juke SV, Maine Registration Plate 9612NA. Crabtree is a white female, 5’05”, 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Crabtree has a history of confusion and losing her way while driving.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for 79-year old Penelope Crabtree of Sebago. Crabtree was last seen Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Morning Glory Diner at 78 Portland Road in Bridgton at approximately 10:00 a.m. Crabtree, who suffers from dementia and vision problems is driving a white 2014 Nissan Juke SV, Maine Registration Plate 9612NA. Crabtree is a white female, 5’05”, 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Crabtree has a history of confusion and losing her way while driving. Most recently she was the subject of a Silver Alert on June 6, 2022.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for 79-year old Penelope Crabtree of Sebago who was last seen Monday evening of June 6, 2022 driving on North Bridgton Road in Bridgton towards Sebago. Crabtree, who suffers from dementia was traveling behind her husband when he lost sight of her headlights. When he turned around and checked the immediate area he could not locate her vehicle and she has not made it back to their residence.

Crabtree is driving a white 2014 Nissan Juke SV, Maine Registration Plate 9612NA. Crabtree is a white female, 5’05”, 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

Law Enforcement looking for the public’s help in locating missing Naples man

Mark Conley NOTE: The Maine State Police and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a news conference at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, regarding a missing Naples man.

The Maine State Police is assisting the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office with a missing person case. Both agencies are seeking the public’s help in locating 67-year-old Mark Conley of Naples. Mr. Conley is a white male, 5’8” tall, 200 lbs., with balding hair, blue eyes, and a grey goatee. Conley’s family is very concerned for his well-being after not showing up for a Christmas gathering. Mr. Conley was last seen on December 24, 2021, in the Lewiston area. Mr. Conley lives in Naples and drives a Silver 2016 Jeep Patriot bearing Maine license plate 5823XK. Anyone who has information concerning Mr. Conley’s whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement. A photograph of Mr. Conley is attached. 
 

Casco Remains

At approximately 3:26 pm on May 8th, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call from an individual reporting the discovery of skeletal remains at 196 Poland Springs Road. The call was made by a family member who was cleaning out their father’s residence who died earlier in the year.  The remains were found in an outbuilding on the property. The deceased father was identified as Douglas Scott, 82- years old.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner begun a post-mortem examination on the remains on Sunday morning, May 9th, 2021.  Additional testing and examination is likely to take place throughout the coming weeks.

Detectives, deputies and troopers worked over the weekend investigating the circumstances surrounding this discovery.  Detectives and Deputies continue interviewing witnesses and other persons of interest at this time.  

The Maine State Police Evidence Response team crime scene technicians are processing the scene and are expected to remain on the scene throughout the day.  The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and the Maine State Police Troop B assisted in securing the scene and identifying witnesses.  The investigation is likely to continue into the coming weeks as authorities work to identify the remains and the circumstances surrounding that discovery.  The Maine State Police do not believe that there is any threat to the public and will share more information as it becomes available.
