Sign Theft Blue HillThe Maine State police are investigating a recent theft of an electric speed warning sign owned and operated by the Town of Blue Hill designed to slow traffic on Main Street. The device is a costly loss to the town and the Town of Blue Hill is offering a monetary reward pending a court conviction for the thief. Blue Hill Shooting Update

State Police say the victim of last night’s shooting in Blue Hill is 31 year old Joshua Clarke. He was shot outside his home at 646 Ellsworth Road. An autopsy was conducted today at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta. Detectives say the person who shot him has been identified and interviewed, and they continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. No one has been charged.  

Blue Hill Death Investigation

State Police say they are investigating the shooting death of a man in Blue Hill tonight.   The incident took place at a home on the Ellsworth Road just before 6 PM. Detectives say one person is being questioned and there is no threat to the public.  Additional details are likely to be released Monday.  

Blue Hill Man Dies After Voting

State Police say an elderly Blue Hill man collapsed and died this morning at the Blue Hill town office after voting.  The 78 year old man was treated by medical personnel at the town hall and could not be revived. Voting at the town hall was suspended for a time as first responders attended to the stricken man.  Voting in Blue Hill resumed after about an hour.  The man’s identify was not released.
