North Yarmouth Culvert Repair

North Yarmouth ? Crews will be replacing a large cross culvert on Monday, July 30th on Route 115 in North Yarmouth. The road will be closed for this one day event while work is being done.

Detour signs will help guide motorists away from the area by directing traffic from Route 115 to Depot Hill Road to Route 231, then back to Route 115. The work site will be located just south of Harmony Hall, which is located between the intersections of Mill Road and Route 115, and Haskell Road and Route 115.

Culvert Replacements in Bristol

Bristol ? A culvert replacement will take place on the Harrington Road in Bristol beginning Tuesday, July 31st. This work will be performed approximately one mile southeast of the Carl Bailey Road.

The detour begins at the intersection of Route 130 to Route 129, and ends at the intersection of Route 130/Harrington Road. This culvert replacement is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 2nd.

Culvert Replacement on US Route 197 in Richmond

Richmond ? A strut (large culvert) replacement will take place starting August 6th on US Route 197 in Richmond, approximately one quarter mile west of High School Drive.

This work requires a full closure of approximately 300 to 400 ft on US Route 197. Detour signs and message boards will help guide motorists away from the work zone. The signs will direct those coming from the Interstate to go in the opposite direction to US Route 201 onto Langdon Road, then right onto Alexander Reed Road, which leads back to Route 197. This detour is approximately two miles.

Paving on US Route 17 from Jefferson to Augusta

Jefferson/Augusta ? Crews will be replacing culverts and perform shoulder widening along Route 17 from Jefferson to Augusta beginning Monday, August 6th.

The project begins just southeast of Winslows Mills Road and extends almost thirteen miles westerly to just east of Kenniston Street in Augusta.

On Monday, September 10th, workers will start repaving the road surface and making guardrail improvements.

Flaggers will assist motorists through the alternating one-way traffic in each work zone one-half mile at a time.

Culvert Replacements in Buckfield/Hebron

Buckfield/Hebron ? MaineDOT crews will be replacing multiple cross culverts on Route 124 from South Hill Road in Buckfield to Bryant Road in Hebron during the week of August 6th.

Detour signs will guide motorists around the work zone via South Hill Road in Buckfield to Bryant Road in Hebron, and then back to Route 124.

This one and a half mile section of Route 124 will be closed between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th.

I-95 Southbound Ramps Paved From Bangor to Etna

Bangor ? Crews will be paving the I-95 southbound on and off ramps from Bangor to Etna from Monday to Wednesday evenings next week, August 6th thru the 8th.

These ramp closures will occur from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with message boards advising motorists to seek alternate routes.

The scheduled paving will be as follows:

  • Motorists can use Exit 180 or Exit 167 on Monday night while Exit 174 southbound is closed

  • Motorists can use Exit 174 or Exit 161 on Tuesday night while Exit 167 southbound is closed

I-295 Traffic Sensors Being Installed

Freeport ? MaineDOT crews will be installing traffic counting sensors in the pavement on I-295 Tuesday and Wednesday, August 7th and 8th from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

On August 7th from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., crews will be installing traffic counting sensors on I-295 northbound approximately two miles north of Exit 17, ending 500 ft south of the Freeport Exit 20. One lane of thru traffic will permitted during the work hours.

Culvert Replacements in Dresden/Woolwich

Dresden/Woolwich ? Crews are replacing culverts prior to paving on Route 127, starting at the intersection of Indian Road, heading south to the intersection of Route 1. This work in Dresden and Woolwich requires alternating one way traffic on this stretch of Route 127, with flaggers and temporary traffic signals assisting motorists through the area.

This project, performed during daytime hours by Hagar Enterprises of Newcastle, is anticipated to be completed by the end of August.

Paving Project in Scarborough and Arundel/Kennebunkport

Scarborough ? Crews will be paving in Scarborough and areas of Arundel and Kennebunkport beginning Thursday, August 9th through the end of the day on Friday, August 10th.

On August 9th, In Scarborough, the project will start on Route 114, beginning at the Turnpike overpass, extending northerly for approximately one and a half miles to Sweetbrier Lane. Travelers should expect delays and consider alternate routes as flaggers will assist motorists through alternating one-way traffic.
