Road Work on the Chesterville-Farmington Town Line

Farmington ? Starting Thursday, April 19, work crews will begin road construction approximately three miles westerly from the intersection of Routes 156 and 41 to the Wilson Stream Bridge at the Chesterville ? Farmington town line. Motorists should expect short delays due to one way traffic through the work area, with flaggers safely guiding drivers during this period.

Work includes culvert replacement, underdrain and catch basin installation, ditching, roadway excavation, gravel replacement along with paving and guardrail installation, including curb placement. Once completed in mid July, this stretch will provide a smoother and safer roadway for the traveling public.

This $3.6 million contract was awarded to Farrin Bros. & Smith, Inc. of Brighton.
