Construction on Route 1-Elm Street in Biddeford

Biddeford ? Reconstruction of Route 1/Elm Street in Biddeford begins on Monday, September 24th. Crews will begin full reconstruction beginning approximately 500 ft. north of the Biddeford Connector (Grayson Street) extending north on Route 1 approximately one-half mile to Beaudoin Avenue.

Alternating one-way traffic will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Night work is not anticipated.

Monmouth/Winthrop Culvert Replacements

Monmouth ? Beginning today, September 24, crews will be replacing a culvert on Route 135 in Monmouth. The work area is located approximately eight miles west of the Route 201/125 intersection. This four day event necessitates the closure of the Route 135/202 Winthrop intersection. Traffic will be detoured for approximately three miles along Route 132 and Route 202.

Steep Falls Bridge Repairs

Limington/Standish ? Crews will be making minor structural repairs to the Steep Falls Bridge on October 9th and 10th. The Steep Falls Bridge on Route 11 connects Limington and Standish spanning the Saco River.

Flaggers will assist motorists on the bridge with alternating one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The bridge will have both lanes open in the evening and overnight hours.

Nighttime Ramp Closures Scheduled on I-295

PORTLAND. A series of I-295 ramp closures will start tonight as construction crews begin the process of re-painting stripes on the recently repaved roadway.

This work will require that the I-295 Northbound Exit 5 off-ramp, and the Fore River Parkway and Congress Street on-ramps to I-295 Northbound each be closed during the overnight hours tonight.

The Park Avenue I-295 NB on-ramp will remain open tonight, but will be closed tomorrow night along with a repeat of tonight?s closures.

Exit 133 in Fairfield Closed Due to Paving

Fairfield ? Crews will be paving the I-95 northbound Exit 133 off-ramp in Fairfield on Wednesday, October 10th from 9 a.m. until early evening. This project will necessitate the closure of Exit 133 northbound for the day. Motorists will need to utilize Exit 132 and follow the detour signs leading to Route 201.

Since this work is weather dependent, the rain date is set for Thursday, October 11th.

Stanley Brook Bridge Repairs

Seal Harbor ? Crews will begin drainage and boat ramp repairs in Seal Harbor at the Stanley Brook Bridge beginning on Thursday, October 11th. This work is expected to continue for two weeks.

Between Friday, October 12th and Monday, October 15th, there is a possibility of a five hour closure on Route 3 during low tide. During that closure, traffic will be detoured onto Stanley Brook and Jordan Pond Roads which wind through Acadia National Park.

Naples Paving Along the Causeway

Naples ? Crews will be paving along the causeway in Naples for three days beginning Tuesday, October 16th. Flaggers will assist motorists through alternating one-way traffic for approximately one quarter mile.

Paving operations are scheduled to take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Because this work is weather dependent, alternate dates may required.

Drivers are cautioned of possible minor delays while this work is being performed.

Sewall?s Bridge in York to Close

York ? Crews will be closing the Sewall?s Bridge which spans the York River starting on Tuesday, October 16th for approximately one year. This bridge replacement project is necessary because the Sewall?s Bridge has reached the end of its current service life.

An approximate four mile signed detour route will help direct motorists for the duration of the replacement project.
