Thirteenth Annual Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference

AUGUSTA, MAINE – Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) will host its Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference on Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29 at the Augusta Civic Center. This year’s theme is “Enhancing Resilience and Community Preparedness.” Wednesday’s schedule includes a wide range of emergency management workshops related to preparedness and education, technological hazards, mitigation before disasters, and more.

The conference begins at 8 AM next Wednesday with opening remarks from MEMA Director Pete Rogers and a greeting from Brigadier General Diane Dunn, the Adjutant General of the Maine National Guard who also serves as Commissioner for the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management.

The Keynote Speaker on May 29 is Chris Scott, a highly experienced crisis management professional with over 35 years of experience in the field. As a dynamic and engaging instructor of all crisis and emergency response related matters, this session promises to be a thought-provoking look at emergency preparedness and response.
