The Maine Department of Education (DOE) supports teaching and learning in every content area through the resources below. Each content area links to its instructional resources, the Maine Learning Results (MLRs) — the State's PK-12 educational standards — and its standards review. The department also maintains the Maine Early Learning and Development Standards (MELDS) for early learning and the Guiding Principles for Learning, which describe the cross-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and dispositions all Maine students are expected to develop.
