This course prepares participants to employ best practices for the planning and operational needs of children impacted by disaster. Participants will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to make pediatric considerations/accommodations while planning and preparing for community all-hazards events. The goal is the implementation of a safe, efficient, and effective integrated response with pediatric-focused utilization of public safety response assets. This course addresses pediatric emergency planning considerations through a combination of lectures and small group activities.
