COURSE OVERVIEW: The Maine Emergency Management Agency will be hosting a Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) course. This is an intermediate level course designed to provide a set of guiding principles, standardized methodology, available resources and practical skill development, which will assist in developing an HSEEP consistent exercise program. This course describes a common approach to exercise program management, design and development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning.
COURSE DETAILS: This course is currently scheduled as a State Level (G) offering. Credit for this course may not transfer to those seeking admission into the Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) or EMI Basic Academy programs. A request has been submitted to make this offering a MEP and EMI Basic Academy recognized offering but is not guaranteed. If seeking guaranteed credit through one of those programs, please wait to apply to the November offering at Bates College.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Those involved in planning, program management, design and development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning of HSEEP consistent exercises.
COURSE PREREQUISITES:
- IS 120.c: An Introduction to Exercises
COURSE LOCATION: Course to be held at the Maine Air National Guard Base in Bangor, Maine. Classes will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Light snacks and coffee will be provided. All other expenses are the responsibility of the student’s home agency.
