Northern Light Mercy Hospital is offering a free continuing education session on Sept 16, 2021
Dr. Jennifer Palminteri, Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine, Director- Critical Care Unit, Mercy Hospital will be addressing the most common causes of acute respiratory failure that makes patients call EMS. We will discuss the pathophysiology of Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Embolism, Heart Failure, and Pneumonia and the ways we treat with oxygen, CPAP/BIPAP, ventilators, and the medications to treat the underlying problem. Case reviews will be featured to discuss features of each disease that are worrisome and encouraging signs of improvement. 1 CEH Airway, Breathing, Circulation awarded for complete attendance.
