The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student's defensive driving awareness. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways. Our goal is to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce vehicle-related crashes.

Law Enforcement Training
The Academy provides basic law enforcement and corrections training to all newly hired officers, specialized in-service training programs at the Academy in Vassalboro and support to the regional training councils.

Tresspass, Harrassment, Protection Orders
Capitol Police officers serve Harassment, Trespass, and Protection from Abuse Orders on the Augusta campuses and at other State buildings in Augusta. Under some circumstances, Capitol Police may also serve, or request service by other law enforcement agencies, of these notices on behalf of State agencies or State employees located throughout the State.
