2 free National EMSC webinars May 19 and May 20

As part of the EMS for Children's efforts to support EMS week, Maine EMS-C is happy to share two webinars available.  Registration is required but there is no cost.  Click on the link under each course to create an ACEP account (it is very quick) and then you can register for the webinars.

“Pediatric Readiness: Every Child, Every Day,” Wednesday, May 19, at 2 pm

This webinarfeaturing remarks from Michael Warren, MD, MPH, FAAP, Associate Administrator, Maternal and Child Health, Health Resources and Services Administrationwill provide an overview of the Peds Ready program and the National Pediatric Readiness Project assessment, which is open now. The event is a collaboration of EMSC, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, the Emergency Nurses Association, and the National Association of State EMS Officials.

"This is EMS: Taking Care of Our Children” Thursday, May 20, at 2 pm

Geared specifically toward prehospital practitioners, this webinar will provide an overview of both the Pediatric Readiness in Emergency Medical Services Systems Policy Statement and Technical Report; review the new Toolkit and Checklist; and provide testimonials focusing on why it is important for EMS agencies to be pediatric prepared. The event is a collaboration of EMSC and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
