Did you know that in 2020, 6 different Emergency Medical Dispatchers in Maine delivered a baby over the phone, providing detailed and medically directed assistance to family members? through the use of their training and EMD protocols, they provided the time sensitive and critical interventions, bringing healthy and happy newborns into the world. So far in 2021, 2 Emergency Medical Dispatchers have delivered newborns (and one of those was a dispatcher who did it in 2020 as well!).
