Vaccination training on Johnson & Johnson Vaccine now available on MEMSEd

The Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for use of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccination was approved on Friday, February 26, 2021. Clinician training for administration of this vaccine is NOW AVAILABLE on the MEMSEd LMS website. This course is mandatory for all EMS clinicians who are participating in an EMS service-based clinic  as a vaccinator, in support of public vaccination efforts against COVID-19. Completion of the “Maine EMS COVID-19 Vaccination Training” course is required for all EMS clinicians as a prerequisite for completion of this course. This is due to the course being built upon knowledge and competencies that were presented in that course and are requisite for understanding the material contained in the Johnson & Johnson training course. EMS clinicians will be awarded 1.0 hr MEDICAL CEH credit on their online training record, once requirements for course completion have been satisfied.

The course may be found by logging onto MEMSEd and navigating from the course tree at the bottom of the page to: Specialty > Specialty Training Courses > Maine EMS Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Training; OR by using the quick course link found in the MEMSEd SITE NEWS course announcement.
