The stats are in - the Maine EMS for Children program awarded a total of 44 stork awards in 2020. 6 Emergency Medical Dispatchers from 5 EMD Centers, 2 police officers from 1 police department and 36 clinicians from 10 EMS services were directly involved in the active delivery of a newborn. Our most recent set of awards was mailed out today - congrats to all who helped make EMS better and experienced a truly rare event.
