Maine EMS has partnered with Maine Emergency Management Agency to provide a brief overview of the Public Assistance Funding process to assist EMS agencies (municipal and non-profit) in obtaining reimbursement for COVID-19 related expenses. While Maine EMS is continuing to lobby for additional funding, this is one way that services can begin to recuperate a variety of costs that they have incurred that are directly related to COVID-19 (i.e. PPE, some overtime expenses, plexiglass for certain ambulance models, etc.).
