Maine EMS has been notified by an EMS agency admin that they have received an email asking the person receiving it to click on a button to verify the agency's information. The email contains specific information about the agency and has a subject header of "Subject: 2025 MAINE GOV Information Verification."
Maine EMS is not aware of any verification being conducted and encourages you to mark this email as junk/spam/phishing in accordance with your agency's IT security policies.
It should be noted that the sender's displayed name is "admin@maine.gov" while the actual email address behind it is not a Maine.gov email address, an indicator that the email is a phishing attempt.
