Protocol app on iOS update

Update on Protocol app for iOS users: We have confirmed the crashing issue is caused by a bug in iOS 16 itself, and that we have no known way to code around it. This was not an issue in beta testing of the app on iOS16, and as previously shared, is affecting thousands of apps. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that the bug has already been fixed by Apple and that fix is part of the next release of iOS, 16.1. Our app developer has also tested the protocol app on the publicly available beta version of the 16.1 update and it is working, however, we don’t know when 16.1 will be released to the public, or if an incremental release will come out before 16.1.
Users can also access the protocols by downloading the pdf to their platform, printing a copy of the protocols, or by visiting the current protocols on the website at https://www.maine.gov/ems/protocols-resources/pre-hospital-care-protocols
We encourage you to never rely on one source for access to protocols and will continue to update as more information becomes available.
