The Maine EMS Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement Committee would like to share the results of their review of Substance Use Disorder incidents. Substance use disorder (SUD), and more specifically opioid use disorder (OUD), continue to be a major public health threat to the residents and visitors of the state of Maine, with hundreds of Mainers dying from preventable deaths every year.
This newsletter attempts to revisit a few measures identified in a 2019 QI Newsletter published by Maine EMS and highlight some additional measures.
