The Maine EMS QI Committee has released the Winter 2020 Newsletter.This newsletter focuses on Stroke and Stroke Care, and they offer the following information:

- The data in this newsletter is based on over 202,000 911 incidents in 2019 that were queried from MEFIRS.
- The QI committee reviewed the average on-scene time for stroke patients, the number of times a blood glucose assessment was documented for a stroke patient, if a stroke alert was made to the receiving facility, and if a stroke assessment was documented.
- The QI committee used the data to put together some strong provider take-away points for providers and service leaders to discuss and consider in their patient care efforts.
