Gray/Gorham ? Beginning on Thursday, June 9th, crews will be crack sealing and fog sealing Route 26A in Gray and parts of Route 112 in Gorham.

In Gray, the crack and fog sealing will begin at the intersection of Route 202 and Route 26A, and extend northerly for approximately 1.1 miles.

In Gorham, the crack and fog sealing will begin at the intersection of Route 112 and Route 114, and extend northerly for approximately 3.2 miles to the intersection with Route 25.

Ellsworth - Beginning on Monday, June 13th, a 1.2 mile stretch of Route 1A in Ellsworth will be reconstructed from the Union River Bridge to Forest Avenue.

Crews will be working 24 hours a day between 7 p.m. Sunday nights through 7 p.m. Friday nights.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane of alternating traffic is allowed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weekdays.

From June 15 to September 15, work will be suspended every weekend between 7 p.m. on Friday through 7 p.m. on Sunday.

On Monday June 13th, the Maine Department of Transportation and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation are hosting an informational meeting to update the public on the status, schedule and activities of the Sarah Mildred Long (SML) Bridge Replacement Project.

There will be presentations explaining the progress of the project followed by a Q&A. Maine and New Hampshire DOT representatives, along with bridge construction contractor Cianbro, will be available to answer questions and discuss additional details.

Thomaston ? Crews will begin milling pavement on Route 1 in Thomaston beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th.

The work on Route 1 will start from Erin Street for approximately 2,000 ft. to the intersection of Route 131 south. Motorists can expect slight delays as flaggers will assist with alternating one-way traffic.

Beginning next week, that section of Route 1 will be back to two lanes while the contractor continues the road work.

Motorists are advised of reduced speeds in the work zone.

Brunswick/Topsham ? A safety inspection on the Frank J. Wood Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham is scheduled for Thursday, June 16th beginning at 8:30 a.m.

During that time, northbound motorists on Route 201 and Route 24 will be detoured to Route 1 east to Route 196. Southbound traffic will be allowed on the bridge. Traffic will be reopened to both lanes upon completion of the inspection that evening.

Mount Desert ? Beginning Monday afternoon, June 20th, crews will begin slope stabilization work on Route 3 in Mount Desert. The slope is located approximately one-half mile south of the Asticou Hill Trail.

Motorists should expect alternating one-way traffic with flaggers along the 1500ft. work zone.

This proactive work will be done in two phases:

Phase One: Beginning on Monday, June 20th, crews will temporarily stabilize loose vegetation along the slope as well as removing selected tress and rock. It is anticipated this work will be completed within two weeks.

South Portland ? Pavement preservation work along with drainage and safety improvements will begin at the intersection of Broadway and Route 77 in South Portland on Wednesday, June 22nd.

The project will begin at the intersection of Broadway and Route 77 and extend 0.87 of a mile to the Cape Elizabeth-South Portland town line.

On Wednesday, June 22nd, work will begin to improve the sidewalks along this stretch.

Portland ? Crews will be replacing the safety fence on the Deering Avenue overpass on I-295 in Portland beginning Sunday night, June 26th.

All work to replace the safety fence will be done between 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. One lane will be closed on both the north and southbound sides between Exits 5 and 7. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the 2,000ft lane closure work zones.

This project will be done in four consecutive nights, with the anticipated completion date of Wednesday, June 29th.

Bowdoinham ? Crews will be performing repair work on the bridge on I-295 northbound in Bowdoinham near Exit 37.

Work will begin this morning by 8:30 a.m. and continue for approximately four hours. The work to repair the bridge headers will result in a single lane of traffic while the work is being performed.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Parlin Pond Township ? Due to recent heavy rains and local flooding, the Parlin Pond Bridge located on Route 201 in Parlin Pond Township has been closed. This bridge is located one-half mile north of the Spencer Pond Road.

There is erosion of the roadway adjacent to the bridge. All available resources are being deployed so the road can be re-opened as soon as safely possible.

The approximate 100 mile detour route will take motorists from Route 6 into Greenville then to the town of Abbot, back westerly on Route 16 to Bingham then back to Route 201.
