Thomaston ? Crews will begin milling pavement on Route 1 in Thomaston beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15th.
The work on Route 1 will start from Erin Street for approximately 2,000 ft. to the intersection of Route 131 south. Motorists can expect slight delays as flaggers will assist with alternating one-way traffic.
Beginning next week, that section of Route 1 will be back to two lanes while the contractor continues the road work.
Motorists are advised of reduced speeds in the work zone.
The project will continue until the beginning of December before temporarily shutting down the operations until next spring, 2017.
