Cost-sharing Facilitators and 3rd-party Reviewers

Per statutes Title 20-A, §1301: Finances and Title 20-A, §1704: Sharing costs, a list of potential facilitators and third-party reviewers is needed for Maine school administrative units (SAUs) to reference during the cost-sharing amendment process
School Unit Organization
- Regional School Units: Lists each regional school unit and its member municipalities. Shows the method of apportionment, the number of directors, the most recent organization date, and the method of cost-sharing.
- School Administrative Districts: Lists each school administrative district and its member municipalities. Shows the date of organization, number of directors, method of cost-sharing, and if they are also a member of an Alternative Organizational Structure (AOS).
- Community School Districts: Lists each community school district and its member municipalities. The report includes the date of organization, the number of directors, the method of cost-sharing, and whether they are also members of an Alternative Organizational Structure (AOS).
- Alternative Organizational Structures: Lists each alternative organizational structure and its member entities. The report includes the most recent date of the certificate of organization, the method of apportionment for directors, the number of directors, and the cost-sharing method. Please note that the member entities of an AOS still have their own school boards; see each member entity for applicable information on cost-sharing and apportionment.
- Union Committees and Combined Boards: Lists each school administrative unit by school union. The report includes the number of school committee members, estimated census counts, and votes per board member by school administrative unit.
