HCBS CAHPS® Survey

The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey is a questionnaire focused on Medicaid beneficiary experiences with home and community-based waiver service providers. The Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) periodically conducts a survey to gather feedback about our services.

Survey Participation

OADS has partnered with Knowledge Services to complete CAHPS® surveys with our HCBS waiver members. Waiver members are randomly selected, and participation is voluntary.

If invited to participate, waiver members have the following appointment options:

  • Telephone call
  • Online video conference
  • In-person, face-to-face meeting

Additional Information

If selected for participation, waiver members received a letter in the mail followed by a phone call from Knowledge Services.

All information collected is anonymous, and the results will be used as part of Maine’s quality assurance and improvement efforts.
