In 2026, OADS created a Quality Improvement Coalition (QIC). A QIC is a group that helps improve the quality of services and supports paid by the State. It will look at both developmental services and long-term supports and services. A QIC can do many different things, like: reviewing data from people’s surveys about their experiences, reviewing State policies and potential changes, and sharing ideas and information.
What This Means
The QIC creates an opportunity for people to share ideas and talk directly with the state on quality improvement priorities. It will also bring together different interest holders and create a chance for them to work together to ensure everybody is receiving high quality services. To achieve this, the QIC may be made up of members, families, providers, and other members of the community.
OADS Quality Improvement Coalition Membership
The Commissioner of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services appoints up to sixteen (16) QIC members using a nomination process managed by OADS. Membership is being finalized and will be posted in the future. Please check back for updates.
QIC Meetings & Materials
The QIC meets once per quarter. Past meeting materials are posted to this page after each meeting. Meetings are expected to begin in late 2026.
