Required State and Federal Posters
MaineDOT must ensure that all state and federal posters are present and available to all workers at the construction site. The upkeep of the bulletin board is the contractor’s responsibility. The contractor’s bulletin board must be displayed on the first day of construction activity on a covered project. It must be displayed in an area that is accessible to all employees and the general public, 24/7.
If a project is funded solely through state dollars, contractors should use the posters specific to state labor laws; if the project is federally funded, federal posters need to be included as well.
The CRO has developed a diagram and checklist which may assist the contractor with layout while reviewing the board.
