About MaineDOT

The Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) is a cabinet-level state agency with primary responsibility for statewide transportation by all modes of travel. MaineDOT employs approximately 1,800 people and expends or disburses more than $675 million per year, including federal, state, and local funds.

To support economic opportunity and quality of life by responsibly providing our customers the safest and most reliable transportation system possible, given available resources.
