** Frenchboro “soft reservation” process for Thursdays
Soft Reservation: Passengers planning to ride the Thursday ferry to and/or from Frenchboro must call the Bass Harbor Terminal (207-244-3254) on the day before (Wednesday) by 4:00pm, or visit the Bass Harbor Terminal in person, to let the Terminal know there will be a passenger(s) needing that Thursday run. This is a “soft reservation” and there will be no additional charge for this; all regular frees (fares, vehicle reservation, etc) will apply. If there is at least one soft reservation made on Wednesday for either the Thursday 2pm (BH to FB) or 3pm (FB to BH), the Thursday run will take place. If there are no soft reservations made, the Thursday run to Frenchboro will not take place.
On Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day departs SI 6:45am, BH 7:30 am, FB 8:30am, BH 9:30am and departs SI 4:30pm and BH 5:15pm
NOTE: If you have a non-reserved vehicle or truck leaving Swan’s Island, please contact the Swan’s Island terminal for vehicle line up instruction, 24 hours prior to departing from Bass Harbor.
