- Reservation Info

- Reservations may be made by phone 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sundays or, made in person during terminal business hours until 4:00 PM.
- Reservations are accepted one month to the corresponding day from sailing date up to 2 hours before sailing time. When months that have end dates short of the next month's end date the reservations can be made on the last day of the month before.
- All reserved vehicles MUST be in the designated reserved spaces, with occupants and tickets ready to board, no less than 15 minutes before scheduled sailing time.
- Reserved vehicles arriving late will be sent to the end of the line and loaded in first come first served order.
- Vehicles without reservations are transported on a first come, first served, space available basis and should follow on site signage to next available space in the appropriate staging lane starting with Lane 1, then Lane 2 and finally Lane 3.
- 4 Vehicle and 2 Truck reservations are sold on each scheduled trip.
- Vehicle and truck reservations are NOT interchangeable due to the length and size of the vehicles. For further information, see the Fare Information page.
- Line Up Procedure

- Vehicles line up in Lane 1 until it is full, then line up in Lane 2 until it is full, then line up in Lane 3.
- Vehicles with reservations for the next scheduled ferry will park in one reservation space in front of lane 1 or lane 2. Or one of the 4 reservation spaces in front of the light house.
- All reservation holders must be in their vehicles with tickets no later than 15 minutes before their scheduled sailing time.
- Any individuals who have been observed "line jumping" will be directed to the end of the line.
- Drivers should park as close to the vehicle ahead of them in the line as possible
- Vacant spaces in the line may not be filled in.
- All vehicles must fit completely within the side painted lines on the pavement in the queue. Those not in compliance will be directed to the end of the line.
- A vehicle may hold a place in line for another vehicle, but the substituted vehicle must use the same ticket type and be in line no later than 15 minutes before their scheduled sailing time. Example:
- A car or pickup truck may be substituted for another car or pickup truck. The second vehicle must fit into the space completely.
- A truck may hold a space for a truck of equal or lesser length.
- A car with something in tow may not hold a place for a truck.
- Vehicle loading will begin 15 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing time. Drivers must be in their vehicles prepared to board immediately.
- When signaled by Ferry Service personnel loading the vessel, drivers will proceed to board as directed.
- Vehicles may be placed in line up after the boat has left the pen. Waiting vehicles must leave on the next available ferry departure. Those vehicles not in compliance will either be directed to the end of the line or be towed at owner's expense.
- Ferry line parking is for that purpose only. Violators will be towed at owner's expense. Parking passes for the parking lot can be purchased at the Islesboro Town Office.
- Only motorized vehicles will be permitted in the line-up area. A vehicle towing a trailer, vehicle or other equipment must remain with the object being towed. Those not in compliance will be directed to the end of the line.
- Trucks must provide their length and gross vehicle weight to Ferry Service Personnel. A weight slip may be required by the Ferry Service.
- Vehicle ticket covers the passage of the vehicles and driver. All other occupants will need the appropriate passenger tickets.
