Work throughout the month of June at Durham Road site involved the application of membrane to the backsides of each abutment and the installation of stage 1 drainage items. Deck forms were removed and abutment 1 received backfill. Approach gravel at abutment 1 was fine-tuned. Concrete was placed for the Texas Rail as well as the permanent barrier. The bridge barrier was ground, rubbed, and patched. Abutment 2 received backfill.
Began form and rebar work for the pier stem.
Throughout April crews placed concrete for stage 2 of the pier footing.
Work in November saw concrete being placed for the median pier footing, with the construction forms and reinforcing steel being tied for the median pier stem wall. Workers completed H-pile driving at abutment 1, and began construction forms and tying reinforcing steel. At abutment 2, work involved the construction of driving frame, vibro tips, and splices. The Northbound intersection shoulder was graded and paved.
Work throughout June involved the installation of pedestals and reprogramming of light timing at intersections. Formwork was striped and concrete waterproofed on Bucknam Road sidewalk. Granite curbing was installed. Johnson Road was prepared, and overhang brackets installed.
