Figure 1. Of the 51 individuals authorized for nursing services on or after April 1, 2023, 41% of those individuals began nursing services on or before March 31, 2024. Of the 370 individuals authorized for PSS services on or after April 1, 2023, 49% began PSS services on or before March 31, 2024.

Figure 2. During the period April 1, 2023- March 31, 2024, the average wait time for nursing services to begin for 21 out of 51 individuals was 21.3 days. The average wait time for PSS services to begin for 182 out of 370 individuals was 17 days.

Figure 1. Counts of initial, reassessment and hospital medical eligibility determinations completed from April 1, 2023- March 31, 2024, are presented with counts of those determinations completed on-time. Determinations completed on time include medical eligibility assessments that were delayed for an acceptable reason, such as member or family scheduling preferences.

Figure 2. During the period April 1, 2023- March 31, 2024, the average amount of time in days for each medical eligibility type completed within an acceptable timeframe was: 5.1 days for initial assessments, 12.8 days for reassessments, and 1.4 days for hospital assessments.

Figure 1. Of the 544 individuals authorized to begin S18, S20, S21 and S29 waiver services during the period April 1, 2023- March 31, 2024, 36% of individuals started services on or before March 31, 2024. As the State continues unwinding activities related to the federal requirements for continuous coverage and maintenance of effort provisions related to COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, the data for enrolled participants and participants with a funded offer will fluctuate over time as Maine reinstates waiver enrollment procedures in place prior to the onset of the Public Health Emergency.

Figure 2. During the period April 1, 2023- March 31, 2024, a total of 130 individuals began S21 and S29 services once authorized. This figure shows the percentage (%) of individuals who waited less than or more 90 days to start services once authorized.
