Traffic Sensors To Be Installed In Augusta And Winthrop

Winthrop ? On Monday, July 9th, traffic sensors will be installed in the roadway 1,000ft east of the intersection with Welch Point Road in Winthrop, extending westerly for 1,000ft. All of this work will be located on Welch Point Road with flaggers assisting motorists through alternating one-way traffic. This one day project will take place from 9am to 3pm. A rain date is set for Tuesday, July 10th.

The installation of traffic sensors supports our Traffic Monitoring Program, providing information on the number of vehicles utilizing the highway throughout the year, as well as changes in travel patterns.
