Woolwich ? MaineDOT crews will be replacing a culvert on Route 127 in Woolwich starting on Tuesday, September 11th. This work will necessitate the full closure of Route 127 located approximately six-tenths of a mile of the Dresden-Woolwich town line.
The work zone is approximately 200 ft. in length. No thru traffic will be allowed.
The detour route for travelers heading south will be from Route 127 in Dresden to Indian Road to Route 128, then to Route 127 in Woolwich.
Northerly traffic will be detoured from Route 127 in Woolwich to Route 128 to Indian Road to Route 127 in Dresden.
It is anticipated this project will be completed by September 14th.
The work is necessary to replace a culvert in deteriorating condition and to upsize the culvert to reflect current standards.
