Leeds ? Road construction has started again this season on Route 219 in Leeds, with traffic down to one lane on the approximately two mile stretch from the Androscoggin River to the Dead River.
Crews will be reconstructing the road with structure improvements, new drainage along the roadway as well as additional safety improvements to the corridor that carries approximately 3,300 vehicles a day.
Work is expected to be completed in late June of this year.
The $2.7 million contract was awarded to A. H. Grover of Cumberland.
