Repairs to Continue on I-95 Northbound in Fairfield

Fairfield ? On Tuesday, November 24th, crews will be back on I-95 northbound in Fairfield for a more permanent repair of potholes that have formed due to recent heavy rains.

Between 9:00 a.m. and noon, Maine State Police will assist with rolling roadblocks between mile markers 127 to 133 northbound in Fairfield. Each rolling roadblock will slow traffic for approximately 15 to 20 minutes as crews make the necessary repairs to the pavement in the northbound lane. Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly.

Due to the continued formation of these extensive potholes during heavy rain events, there is a high probability that previous cold patch repairs will not last for the duration of the current project underway in the area. It is anticipated that paving the lane with hot mix asphalt will prevent continued disruption and inconvenience to travelers during the holiday season due to the failing pavement.

Message boards are in place to alert drivers of the work being done between 9:00 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, November 24th.
