Jefferson/Augusta ? Crews will be replacing culverts and perform shoulder widening along Route 17 from Jefferson to Augusta beginning Monday, August 6th.
The project begins just southeast of Winslows Mills Road and extends almost thirteen miles westerly to just east of Kenniston Street in Augusta.
On Monday, September 10th, workers will start repaving the road surface and making guardrail improvements.
Flaggers will assist motorists through the alternating one-way traffic in each work zone one-half mile at a time.
This daytime work, performed by Pike Industries, will extend into mid-October before de-mobilizing for the winter. Crews will return in the spring of 2013, with an anticipated completion date in early July of 2013.
