Naples ? A paving project will begin in Napes along the Causeway beginning Monday, May 13th.
Pavement put down last season did not meet the quality standards that are necessary, according to project specifications.
Grinding the current pavement will take place from Monday, May 13th to Wednesday, May 15th. Weather permitting, paving will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 16th and 17th. If extra time is needed, crews will continue the paving operation on Saturday and Monday, May 18th and 20th.
Alternating one-way traffic will occur from the Route 35 intersection, continuing along the Causeway, ending at the Naples Town Office.
The hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. each day through the duration of the project. Motorists should expect major delays, and allow extra travel time through this area.
During the week of May 20th, crews will be striping the newly paved roadway, resulting in ?stop and go? traffic with 5 to 10 minute delays expected for motorists, due to alternating one-way traffic assisted by flaggers.
