Nighttime Ramp Closures Scheduled For I-95 Southbound In Augusta

Motorists who utilize I-95 Southbound in Augusta need to be aware of upcoming nighttime ramp closures that will begin Wednesday July 6, and continue until Monday, July 11.

Construction crews must close the ramps in order to remove deteriorating pavement and then repave the ramps. While crews can remove pavement if it rains, the weather must be dry in order to pave, so the schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.

On Wednesday, July 6, the Exit 112 off-ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for pavement removal, and the Exit 112 on-ramp will close at 9:00 p.m. for pavement removal.

On Thursday, July 7, the Exit 112 off-ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for paving, and the Exit 112 on-ramp will close at 9:00 p.m. for paving. Also the Exit 109B ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for pavement removal.

On Friday, July 8, the Exit 109B ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for paving.

On Sunday, July 10, the Exit 109A on-/off-ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for pavement removal.

On Monday, July 11, the Exit 109A on-/off-ramp will close at 7:00 p.m. for paving.

Each night, the ramps will be closed until the work is complete or until 6:00 a.m., whichever comes first. Each ramp will be open to traffic by 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

Night work will continue on the I-95 southbound as well as crews will be installing guardrail and performing other work related to the rehabilitation of this stretch of I-95.

MaineDOT asks that all drivers please be aware of construction workers during the nighttime construction periods, and to drive cautiously through all work zones.
