MaineDOT to Work on Milford Bridge in Old Town

Drivers should plan for temporary delays.

OLD TOWN- May 13, 2026 —  Starting May 13, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) will begin work on Milford Bridge in Old Town for a bridge wearing surface replacement project. The project work will include resetting curbs, structural concrete repair of bridge joint headers, joint seal replacements, milling of existing surface, paving of a new asphalt wearing surface, and ADA compliant sidewalk approaches. During the project, traffic may be reduced to a single lane of alternating one-way traffic at night from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M. There may be temporary delays while adjusting traffic control measures throughout construction. 

Work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026. 

The contractor for this project is BMB Construction LLC of Holden, Maine.

The contract amount is $990,000.
