 MaineDOT Announces Culvert Replacement Project in Dennysville

Drivers should plan for lane closures and detours on Benjamin Lincoln Bridge throughout 2026.

Dennysville– Dec. 29, 2025 — Starting on December 30, 2025, the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) will be conducting a large culvert replacement on the Benjamin Lincoln Bridge over Wilson’s Stream on Route 1 in Dennysville.

Drivers should expect daytime lane closures controlled by flaggers or temporary traffic signals during the first phase until February 2026.

During the second phase, which begins in May 2026, there will be a one-lane detour which will be controlled by temporary traffic signals. 

The anticipated end date for this project is Fall 2026. The contractor for this project is CPM Constructors of Freeport, and the construction contract amount is $5,900,000.
