Winslow ? Culvert rehabilitation work started on US Route 137 in Winslow Monday, July 16th. Alternating one-way traffic, controlled by flaggers, will assist motorists through the work zone, located approximately one-half mile south of the intersection of Route 137 and Pond Road.
Crews will be installing prefabricated sections to rehabilitate the deteriorated portion. In addition to this work, approximately 200 ft of shoulder on each side of the roadway will be widened and paved to allow for the installation of guardrails.
Repairing the culvert while it remains structurally sufficient will eliminate the need for a full culvert replacement in the near future, saving money and inconvenience to travelers.
This project, performed by Culvert Rehabilitation Services, LLC of Auburn, will be completed within the first two weeks of August.
