Brush Clearing Work Along I-95 Between Augusta and Clinton

KENNEBEC AND SOMERSET COUNTIES - The Maine Department of Transportation will begin removing brush and trees along the northbound and southbound sides of I-95 between Augusta and Clinton on June 3rd. This work is being done to provide better visibility that should minimize animal and vehicle crashes as well as to let additional sunlight hit the road during and after snowstorms. The clearing along the sides of the interstate, in the median, and along the ramps will be happening in Augusta, Sidney, Waterville, Fairfield, Benton, and Clinton. This work will continue through parts of this summer with an end date of June 15th, 2020. There will be no lane closures in July and August, but some lane closures may happen in June and after Labor Day. The contractor for this work is Comprehensive Land Technologies, Inc. out of South China.
