Auburn ? The Oakdale Bridge, northbound on Route 202 in Auburn which spans the Little Androscoggin River, will be replaced this construction season. In order to complete the majority of the work, Route 202 northbound (also known as Washington Street northbound) will be closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the bridge. Traffic will be rerouted via Chasse Street and Philomar Street to Route 202 southbound (Washington Street southbound) which will handle both northbound and southbound through traffic during the construction.
Though all work schedules are weather dependent, it is expected that the bridge will close on June 1st and will remain closed until November 15th. There will be some additional work done in the spring of 2015.
All businesses in the vicinity of the Oakdale Northbound Bridge will be open and accessible. The detour route is for through traffic only.
Motorists should allow extra time or seek an alternate route.
