What is a Safety Grant?
The State of Maine’s central Workers’ Compensation Fund offers annual Safety Grants, up to $5,000 per department, to support workplace safety and loss prevention initiatives. These grants are designed to help create a safer, healthier environment by reducing the risk, severity, and cost of workplace injuries, illnesses, and other hazards.
Have an innovative or creative idea to improve safety in your department, big or small? Share it with your supervisor! With their support, your idea could be submitted for a Safety Grant and make a real impact in your workplace.
Departments awarded a grant must confirm that the funds will be used exclusively for safety and loss prevention activities.
