Reminder for the end of the 2025 FSA Plan Year: If you were enrolled in a 2024 Health Care FSA, all 2025 Health Care FSA elections must be exhausted before 2024 to 2025 rollover funds are eligible for use. The 2024 to 2025 roll over funds will not roll over to the 2026 FSA plan year. We encourage you to utilize these funds before January 1st, 2026, to ensure you are not losing these set-aside funds.
The 2026 open enrollment is from Monday, November 3, 2025, until Monday, November 17, 2025.
By enrolling in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) and/or a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) account, you can set aside money PRE-TAX to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or dependent care expenses in the upcoming 2026 calendar year.
Please Note: Elections are for one year only, and you must re-enroll for each year that you wish to be enrolled. All DCFSA claims must be submitted manually. If an employee is enrolled with DCFSA only, a card will not be issued.
Please also note that the enrollment for the 2026 flexible spending plans will be made through the new State of Maine Human Resources Management System, PRISM. Once you have accessed the PRISM homepage, the open enrollment “Task” will be displayed under “Awaiting Your Action” and in your My Task box.

The 2026 HCFSA & DCFSA maximum annual contribution amounts:
- HCFSA: $3,400
- DCFSA: $7,500
