State of Maine Health Plan Dependent Eligibility Audit

The State of Maine has partnered with an independent firm, HMS, to conduct a health plan dependent eligibility audit to ensure that the State's health plan continues to cover the intended population.

HMS has begun mailing preliminary audit instructions to health plan subscribers who are covering dependents and will continue to communicate with these plan subscribers throughout the duration of the audit process. We ensure you that all HMS audit communications are legitimate and urge employees to address the audit requirements in a timely manner.

Health plan subscribers must provide all required documentation for each enrolled dependent to HMS by or before February 1st, 2021 to continue to cover their dependent(s) under the State of Maine health plan.
